Hi,
Does anyone living around Taplow Buckinghamshire, know if the Station House is still standing ? I lived there as a child from 1958 - 1977 when I left home to get married. It has been empty for many years. I had a look at google earth and it was still there in 2008 though very over grown.
I hope someone can help.

I googled it and looking at it in relation to the Bishops Centre, I don't recall any sort of building/demolition work going on there. Mind you there has been a planning applcation for a Tescos on the Bishops Centre site....................

Hi allisont,
Thank you for your reply. I have just had a look at the Bishops centre site. I am amazed to see that it is a shopping center. When I lived there it was Woods Garden Nurserys and then it was renamed Bishops Garden Centre. The Station House was on the hill behind the Bishops centre.
You used to be able to see the house from the Bath road.
I haven't been back to the area for over 20 years.
Thanks again

Hi Yvon,
My son picked up this post. You and I used to spend a great deal of time playing in the gardens and the Goods Yard! Station House is still standing but not as we knew it. If you get back to me I can give you a potted history.

Hi,
I would be very interested to hear from you. If you send me a personal message perhaps you could let me know who you are. I have an idea but would like to know if I am right.
Thanks Yvon-3

Taplow needs to have made three posts before the system will allow Taplow to use the Personal Message facility.
Perhaps Taplow could make two more posts on this topic, just simple comments or questions in order to reach the magic three posts.
Regards.

I know this post is very old but I am looking into the history of the station House at Taplow as I am sure it dates from the earliest days of the G.W.R dating from 1837.
If anyone with info I would be most grateful
