Title: Craigs Townland County Antrim Marriage Lookup Request
Post by: DaveWilcox on Thursday 16 February 12 02:55 GMT (UK)
Hi -

Not sure if this is a fair request but is it possible for someone to learn and tell me where and when James McCauley/McAuley married Jane McCallum/McCullem/McColm/McColle/etc?

Her mother's maiden name was possibly McCartney.  According to the 1851 Census, the marriage occurred in 1841.  At the time of the Census, they were living in Craigs Townland, Craigs Parish, Barony of Kilconway, County Antrim.   About 1861, they were possibly living on property #123 just off Loan Road not far from Craigs Road.

Or, perhaps someone could advise me on how to proceed in finding a marriage record.

Thank you very much,

Neal

Not seeing marriage in online indexes at moment, but wonder if the following births in Portglenone area might be later born children:

David 4/8/1865 to James Mcauley and Jane Mccollum

Samuel 1/8/1867 to  "           "          "       "          "

Do you have any idea which religion the family were (to help narrow down possible churches for marriage)?
