Title: Dexter marriage details Belper RD 1861

Im looking for the details of the marriage of Thomas DEXTER in Belper Reg Dist in the Sep Quarter of 1861.  GRO ref is 7b, p640 it is probably in Ironville or Alfreton.  Hope someone can help.   Thanks

According to the Derbyshire marriage index, Thomas DEXTER married Ann LYCETT at Birchwood Chapel Alfreton.

To marry in a chapel before 1898 a registrar had to be present and the records are kept at the register office so it will not be possible to see this certificate, unless you purchase it.

Thanks Tuppie -- I guess Ill have to buy the cert. but at least I now know the place and his spouse.

Hi Rick,

I too have Dexters in that area and a Thomas too but my Thomas went to Notts to marry Jane Haywood in 1857.  Thomas was born 1822 Belper to William Dexter and Elisabeth Shaw.  Any interest?
