I would be grateful if someone could lookup the marriage of Elizabeth Nicholls and Richard Drew, Stoke Damerel 1845.
I am trying to confirm whether or not Elizabeth was a widow or a spinster as she had a son (John Alexander Nicholls) prior to her marriage.
On John Alexander Nicholls death cert in 1915 his father is listed as John Alexander Spring Nicholls, Master Mariner but I can find no trace of this person.

Thanks alot for the help. It confirms my suspicions that John Alexander Nicholls was illegitimate.
It looks like John Alexander Spring Nicholls, Master Mariner was a figment of his imagination.
