Help please !
I have an HP Touch Screen, operating Windows 7. (I never use the touch screen, bit of a gimic to me !) Since new 18 months ago it's been great but 2 days ago I accidently clicked something in the top left corner of the screen where all the mail do's and don'ts are shown and now I'm in a mess. I'm very inexperienced at this caper. For some reason I now cannot see wht I have in the the various folders i.e. inbox, outbox, sent, deleted etc etc and I miss being able to look up these details. What have I done ? !!!!!!! I'm sure some experienced techo out there can tell me what I've clicked by mistake and how I can fix it and íf anyone can help me , I'll be very grateful. I am a pensioner and can't afford a techo. Please help but please keep it simple too !!!
I'll appreciate whatever help someone can give me; embarrassed really because I'm sure it's something simple !
Many thanks to whoever can assist,
Cheers,
Arty

The View setting is probably set to "Hide read messages"
Click on View - Current View - Show all messages.
Check this in every folder...

Hi Downside,
Many thanks for going to the trouble of replying to my Windows Mail mess up ! Did what you suggested but no luck so don't know where to go now !
I've clicked that many sights in that top left corner of the Windows Mail page that I've probably messed it up completely now !
I'm sure there's an answer but exactly "what"remains to be seen !
Thanks anyway,
Arty

Hello.
Sit down 'calmly' with a pencil and paper, and go through each click on and off slowly.. I am a pensioner too and we have to learn to slow down. ;) not easy...
keep your check list handy and just highlight the options one at a time, if this doesnt work .... do a system restore, that may do the trick. maybe ???
OR find a local 'buddy' that can come and actually show you what is happening for free. Wish I could come and sit with you...just so that you had another head to work with... that often helps...
all the best

Hello Arty,
Like xinia, I do feel for you and would also agree that to take it slowly and calmly and in an organised fashion is the key. (not something I ever remember, when I have problems!)
It's so hard to get out of fixes when you're self taught and have no wiz kids to ask.
The only suggestion I can offer is that at the very bottom right hand side of the first Window Mail page is a heading "help centre" and you need to "join" them with a user name etc but you can post your query on there for free and eventually someone replies with (hopefully) a solution.
I wish you the VERY best of luck. Best wishes HL

To the kind folk who replied to my problem with Windows Mail, thankyou for replying.
Sorry to say I have rather a bigger problem than there first seemed and a techo is going to be necessary !
Thanks again,
Arty
