Hi, just wondered if anyone in Brighton area or Isle of Wight is researching a Gerard Menzies. I am trying to fill some gaps. He was,is, my Uncle. Born in Paisley in 1921, he found his way down south, he was in RAF over in Syria, Israel, Egypt and on return he was married in Brighton, I should say I know he passed away in 1966 in New York harbour, he was at sea as steward on big liners. I am trying to find where he may be laid to rest. I believe he was married again on Isle of Wight. I know I can not mention anyone that may be living, however since my mum died (his sister) I have an urgency to try to find where he is so I can close a chapter in my family as my mum Margaret McLaren (Butler) lost touch many years ago through some silly family problem and was devastated the rest of her life.
Thanks for reading this I hope someone can help.

Gerard married on the Isle of Wight in 1963. His widow remarried in 1968.
Unfortunately I can't help with where he may be buried.
