Hi,
I'm looking for George Hunt and family in the 1871 census...and backwards if I'm lucky. lol
His family moved to New Brunswick between 1872-1875, and I have them on all the censuses afterwards.
In the Canadian 1881 census he is aged 31, living with his wife Mary (In 1891 she is Emily Mary), and children Elizabeth (14), Mary (11), and Arthur (9) all born in England. There are other children but they were born in NB. On George's death certificate it has his birthplace as Farmington, Gloucestershire. No parents listed.
So in 1871, he should be with his wife, Elizabeth and Mary - hopefully! LOL

Having no luck finding that george hunt in 1871, all i can say is he is no longer living with his parents.

I am a descendant of Thomas Hunt of Northleach. I am wondering is there any information on his parents.

Hi Jacqueline,
I think the following may be relevant to your family tree.
A Thomas HUNT, son of George & Hannah, a Labourer of Northleach, baptised at St Peter & St Paul, Northleach, 22nd May 1814.
George HUNT married Hannah RUCK at St Peter, Farmington, 7th November 1811, by Banns.
Hannah and Ann are often mis-transcribed.
If these are your ancestors, do come back and I can give you more data.

Hi Jacqueline,
Me again. I have now trawled through the Gloucestershire Family History Society Gloucestershire Baptism Index, 1813-1837, looking for the siblings of Thomas HUNT, b.1814 and found a sister:-
Margaret HUNT, dau of George & Hannah, a Labourer of Northleach, baptised at St Peter & St Paul, Northleach, 24th November 1816.

Hi,
I hadn't realised that you had piggybacked onto Sunshinejack's post. I have already posted that George & Hannah HUNT, a Labourer of Northleach, were the parents of Thomas, and have not received any acknowledgement of same, and reluctantly withdraw from any future research.
