I have found wife's grandfather born 1894 and the rest of the family on 1901 census but cannot find marriage on freebmd. I have the maiden name on my tree as Popple but don't know where I got it from.
William Reece born 1866
Jane born 1866
William 1886
George 1888
Arthur 1889
Emna 1892
Frederick 1894
Thomas 1895
Ernest 1898
Agnes 1900
Can anyone track down the marriage and/or birth of William (Head) birthplace given as Rotherhithe please?

40 Tiverton Street Newington
William 26 Telegraph engineer bn Bermonsey
Jane 24 bn Bermonsey
William 5 bn blackfriars
George 3 bn Blackfr.
Arthur 1 bn Boro.
There is a William Reece marrying in 1883 in St Saviour, but not to a Jane.
A Jane Popple marries earlier in 1883 in St Saviour but not to a William!
You may have to get a child's birth cert to confirm Jane's maiden name.

Hi williamsedge
Is this topic now 'completed'?
If so, it really helps the moderating team with their housekeeping if you go back to the first post, click on the 'modify' button and amend the topic title to include the word 'completed' and clcik 'save.
The moderators will then come along and move the topic to the 'completed' sections of the forum.
Hope this helps.

Hi william, my grandfather was George Reece, the brother of the William Reece you were researching. I an in contact with 2 other descendants of William who still live in London. I have photos of George as a wireman and on his marriage. Does your wife have any photos of her grandad or william?
My photos are posted on http://april1956.tribalpages.com/
If you are interested I will post you the access code seperatelly.
