Born in Amsterdam c 1828 married in 1847 also Amsterdam found in 1871 and 1881 in England.Nothing found thereafter for any of the family, I am assuming the family emigrated to Australia as noted a death there in 1918.
What is the best site for checking emigration records please.... ???

This is the death you mentioned above.
Obviously it doesn't come anywhere near the age of that person born in 1828 ???

There is an Alexander LEEFSON who was naturalised in 1909. He was born in 1831 in Amsterdam and arrived in Australia in 1882 with one son and six daughters. The indexes on PROV show the family as Alexander, 51, Abigail, 50, Rachel 20, Rose 18, Moses 15, Miriam 11, Leah, 10, Sarah 8. Missing a daughter so perhaps one did not emigrate.
Perhaps the death you found should be 86 years?

The 1881 British Census material which Perro mentions, but does not provide, shows ALEXANDER's wife's name to be ABIGAIL and we see the family incuding daughter RACHEL mentioned above in the Marriage announcement.

Hi,
Alexander Leefson is on the 1885 Sands Sydney Directory as a Commercial Traveller.
Just for interest there is an Alexander Leefson in the 1892 Sands Melboune Directory at 38 Brunswick St, North Fitzroy.
Might not be the same Alexander though.
Regards
Gerry

ABIGAIL seems to have died in MELBOURNE in 1891, so the couple were there around that time which accounts for the SAND's entry.

Thank you Very Much....yet again you work so hard to help us with less experience. That is the family Sophia was married to Henry Plum in 1879 they are with the family in 1881 census. I believe Alexander Mozes was the son of Mozes Levie Leefson b 1786 Amsterdam and Fokkie Aron Aloe b1791 They married in A 1818 June 6th. Mozes was the son of Levie Joseph Leefson born in 1762 Bonn d 1837 Amsterdam.
Thank you all Perro ;D
