Title: church records
Post by: Johnconone on Tuesday 07 February 12 08:49 GMT (UK)
Can someone please tell me why I have got printouts of the baptism of my Grandfather and his two brothers naming their Parents etc. from the 'South Parish' Cork, but I cannot find trace of them in 'Church Records' within Roots Chat?     Thanks,   John

not quite sure I understand your question ...are you checking the list at the top of the Co. Cork board ?

These are Civil parishes, which are different to RC parishes

Hi Shane,  sorry to confuse you, the  'Church Records'  I have searched are through links within the forum, and as you say their are 2 parish sources. Will these be the Civil Parish's?  The printouts I speak of, I got in person from Cork in 1994.     Thanks ,       John

South Parish is an RC parish - records for it are included on www.irishgenealogy.ie
