Seeking a marriage, possibly in Hope/Castleton circa 1775, for a Micah/Michal/ Michael WALKER to a Margaret UNKNOWN. Micah and Margaret went on to have 11 children mostly in Abney, christened at Hope and Tideswell.
Any leads gratefully accepted!
Many thanks
Pete

Michael Walker was born in Castleton in 1753. His parents were John and Margaret Walker, he had three sisters Betty, Ellen and Martha and one brother Thomas.
Martha Walker married George Clayton in May 1774.
I cannot find a marriage yet for Michael, I will keep trying though:-)

Hi Glossoplass
Thanks for confirming the birth of Michael in Castleton. I have an old note relating to an LDS submitted entry suggesting this was the case, which I never followed up.
Here's hoping you may find his marriage!
Once again many thanks

I think this might be your Michael?

Hi
It certainly looks as if it might be him as Micah/Michaels are pretty rare!
Could I ask what is the source for his birth which you tracked down please? I may need to prove he's not someone else if you follow me!
Thanks again

I use the Castleton Parish registers http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~dusk/castleton_pr.html
Also, The LDS site.

Thanks for the reference.
I have only ventured into the Hope Valley sites a couple of times in the past and had forgotten about these PRs. I will have to bookmark them for future reference
Best wishes
