Hi,

I am looking for Georgina Dickson b. 1833 Dumbretton Annan.  On 1851 census she may be living in Midlothian.  If anyone has any spare credits I would be very grateful if you could check this out for me.

Thanks

Georgina Dickson is actually Georgina Kinnear, the illegitimate daughter of Elizabeth Kinnear born in Ireland in 1789. The 1851 census shows them both at Woodhousehill, Canonbie, Dumfriesshire. Her mother is shown as unmarried. However, Georgina’s marriage to Walter Graham in 1855 shows her father as J Dickson. So she either invented this name or found out that the man who had a relationship with her mother was J Dickson. She used the name Georgina Dickson on her marriage certificate. Georgina was born on 25 May, 1833 at Dumbretton, near Annan, Dumfriesshire.I have an extensive tree of her descendants.
