Title: occupation butcher

my gt gt gt grandfather was a butcher in london in 1876, does anyone know where i can find out, anything else about him, would he be listed somewhere, his name was henry roach, thankyou.

My grandfather was a butcher and came from a line of butchers.He and his father worked in West London.I thought his father was a master butcher and I might havre found him on a list of master butchers but I think he just worked in. Butchers shop in Fulham......certainly did not own it.My grandfather,because I knew him and I went to his place of work ......The Cumberland Hotel Marble Arch.
Hope you have better luck than me.....have only gleaned info from the censuses.

PS  I discovered that reading the pages is relativly difficult as they are fuzzy.   But if you select a page and download it to your computer, the page suddenly becomes easier to read.
