Further to my search for John Watson, which is still ongoing, I am now trying to find more about his daughter -
Jessie Watson, born 1884 in Gateshead, Durham.
Family memories have her emigrating to India sometime after 1911, marrying and returning many years later as a 'wealthy' woman. I wonder if she was one of the single woman who went to India to find a husband - the so called - 'fishing fleet'.
Can someone please tell me where I should be looking for this info?

Yes, her mother was Agnes Mearns Watson. Yes, I found Jessie on 1911 census, 26yrs old, living at home - no occupation.
Re 'John Watson' search - it's still ongoing. I'm hoping to discover family connections through his other children, one of whom is Jessie.
Thanks for your help - Sandra
