Title: Occupation deciphering please
Post by: mookp1892 on Tuesday 31 January 12 15:44 GMT (UK)
Hello

Could someone interpret the top and bottom line please? the top really, as the occupations are for two different people. The top occupation belongs to a 64 year old in 1871 (My 5x great grandmother). Thanks again!

Can you give her name so that the writing can be compared to other writing on the page?

My first impression was:

First Line: "Laundress"
Second Line: "Moulder"

I think you're right about moulder, in the previous census it said he worked at iron foundry

Definitely Laundress to me, too.  I've looked through the other pages and found a Labourer for comparison.
