Hi :-)
I'm hoping someone with eagle eyes might be able to help me!
I have been searching through the City Arc baptism records for 2 names:
1. Edward Michael LOFTUS, born December 1905 (more than likely to a single woman)
2. Joseph William LOFTUS, born August 1916 to Rose Emily LOFTUS (a single woman)
They lived in Chatham, I have found some of the family records in Brompton and Chatham. I'd like to see the first record as I don't know for sure who his mother is. The second record is of my Great Grandmother's first child, born not long before she married my Great Grandfather.
I've searched the records but I haven't seen either record, maybe they weren't baptised around the time of their birth? If anyone has seen these names on their travels, I'd be soooo grateful if you could let me know :-)

Hi
Have you looked on the 1911 census for Edward? The free 1911 index shows an Edward Loftus aged 5 living in Medway

I have seen the 1911 census. He is listed as a granchild of the head of the family, but there are 3 daughters in the house who could be his mother, so it's a bit fo a mystery!

You will need to buy a copy of Edwards birth cert to find his mothers name

Did you have any luck with their baptisms? If not, where does it say Edward was born on the 1911 census and where was Rose Emily living in 1911/when and where did she marry?
