Title: Henley road
Post by: johnson on Thursday 26 January 12 20:32 GMT (UK)
Hi Folks
IHave posted on this forum before but wonder can anyone provide any new info please. Did the ministry of defence use ordinary houses in the second world war as bases for ilitary staff.  I can trace the occupants of 26 Henley road up to 1939 but from then to 1945 there are no records of occupants living there.
After that date ocupants can again be traced. A neighbourwho lived there from the time the road was built 1926 hinted that the army occupied the house during the war. Why would they do this any ideas please.

When you say there are no records, what do you mean? Just to say that no electoral registers were published for the years 1940-44.

Hi stanmapstone,
I Meant to say there are no names in the liverpool record office for this address during the war year.

Best to post a link to previous thread so people can see what's already posted before they start to search for anything.
