Title: FELSTEAD Baptism Lookup Please!
Post by: avidt on Wednesday 25 January 12 14:02 GMT (UK)
Hi

I am looking for the baptism of Shadrach Livermore, which according to a submitted enty on the IGI took place in June 1748 in Felstead and I wondered if anyone had access to these parish records, so that I can confirm his baptism and parents.

Many thanks

David

Hii Sue

You are a star, I wonder if you would be able to tell me any information on the wedding of Thomas & Ann.

Kind Regards

Hi Sue

That's a tough one, I wonder if the submitted entry on the IGI is correct, that names Thomas & Ann  Rumsey, but without proof  of a death of one of the Ann's (how do you know which Ann has died) I dont see how I can get on this line. Thank you so much for all your trouble.

Kind Regards

I am following this family line as well....I've looked at the Felsted parish transcript for 1735, the marriage for Thomas Livermore and Ann Rumsey as written thus
" May 13 Thomas Livermore and Ann Rumsey were married" later on the same page and in the same hand is written
"Oct 6th Tho Livermore and Ann Smith were married"
I wonder if the second 'Tho' is not 'Thomas', but a shortened version of some other name, perhaps Theodore (if that was a name in use there and then), or something similar
