My relative Mary Anderson Fisher was born in 1783, supposedly from Glasgow. On her tombstone it gives the dates as Nov. 1783. I have found 2 Mary Andersons' born in 1783 from Glasgow, one in January and one in May. The only one I could find that had the Nov. 1783 date was from Falkirk, Sterling. Is there any way I can learn which one of these is correct - if any? How far is Falkirk from Glasgow? Would that even be likely?

When did she die? Who were her parents? When and where did she marry?

Falkirk to Glasgow is about 25 miles.

Have you found her on any census?

The birth records I'm assuming are OPR which will give a date of baptism - tho sometimes they also give date of birth.
If she died 1855 onwards there should be a death cert which if she married you should search for using both maiden and married names. Death cert would give parents names so if you know those already verifies if correct one (assuming informant knew)
One possible marriage (I'm assuming she was an Anderson who married a Fisher?) :
27/03/1805 Bride ANDERSON MARY Groom PETER FISHER (ref/FR18 BARONY GLASGOW CITY CITY/LANARK 622/00 0070 0268)
Ann :)

Thanks to all who answered. I don't know her parents names. That is what I am trying to find. I know the marriage record says she married Peter Fisher, weaver in Calton, on Mar. 27, 1805. They came to America around 1815. She died in Hancock County, Kentucky in October, 1858. Her death record states she was from Glasgow, but as she married in Glasgow that could be a reference to that instead of where she was born. Also on the tombstone it has her name as Mary P. wife of Peter, which gives a little more to go on. Although I have not found a lot of records with two given names. Any ideas?
