Would be interested in any information on my ancestor, William Owen of Shrewsbury (1791-1872), illiterate and a bricklayer by trade who became a Freeman of Shrewsbury in October 1812 and had 7 children with his wife Martha Price who originally came from Overton.
Thanks to all who responded.

Hi Again RogJO, As with my other post to find out more we would need similar info. As you have his death year could you tell us where in Australia he died along with his parents names, we may be able to track his movements and find out any available information. ???

Hi RogJD
Could this be the marriage of his daughter Fanny Maria, youngest daughter of the late William Owen from Shropshire in June 1872 in Sydney to Emmanual Cantor.

According to an on-line family tree, quoting census 1871, William Owen was still living in Shrewsbury, Shropshire in 1871 at the age of 80. Did he actually come to Australia? Or his children?
