Had a look at Cornwall-opc-database, baptisms 1840-1860.
Can't see a William Henry (or William) born to Henry and Jane?
Total of 39 William Trembath's in that time period.
Also looked at marriages on the same database - just can't see a Henry Trembath marrying a Jane Jeffrys?
-
For a start I think it might be them on the Ancestry 1841 cencus both 55 years of age in the parish of Madron Penwith :D completed

I'm at a loss. I know death certificates are very unreliable and I can't even find his marriage registration, so I guess that I'm stumped. Don't know where to go from here.
Yhanks for your help. ???

Hi Everyone, I've just had a breakthrough. Found a marriage for Henry and Elizabeth Jane Jeffery in Sep 1860 and a birth for William Henry in Dec 1861. This could be them, I hope.

The IGI has a Submitted Record of William TREMBATH Marrying Margaret OATS 12 Nov 1825, Sancreed, Cornwall
Cornwall OPC confirms this and you can check it to get Witnesses names.
Now interestingly it looks like Henry was not the only one to leave England;
New York Marriages on Familysearch.Org;
25 August 1868, Manhattan, New York, New York
JOHN Trembath, Father William TREMBATH, Mother Margaret OATS
Emily ROWE, Father William ROWE, Mother Rachel JAMES
By 1871 WILLIAM Trembath had died and MARGARET is with her Son Richard and Family in Madron.
WILLIAM Was Buried 08 Dec 1869, Madron, no age given on Cornwall OPC. But on FreeBMD the corresponding Death Reg, Dec1869 has him age 73
MARGARET was Buried 08 Dec 1878, Age 74 in Madron (Cornwall OPC)

That has certainly given me something to look at. I think that this is my family. The problem with Australian death registration is that they don't stipulate the age of the deceased. I try not to have to get too many certificates as this ends up very expensive. Thank you all for your perserverence with my request.
Regards to all. Grannys42.
PS It's raining cats and dogs here in Queensland, so I have all day to play with this. ;D
