Title: Harold Ainsworth
Post by: Almond Tree on Sunday 22 January 12 11:15 GMT (UK)
Has anyone come across Harold Ainsworth born in Uttoxeter and aged 10 months on the 1901 census.  He was a visitor in the household of Moses and Harriet Heapy at Knowle, Worcs.  Harriet, nee Ainsworth, was born in 1865 at Kingstone, Staffs.
I cannot find a birth registration for Harold or any further information.
Thank you.

Have you discounted these two:
Harold Henry Ainsworth/Sept.1900/Ashborne/7B/683
Harold Edward Ainsworth/Dec.1900/Stone/6B/23
Both are about 10 mls. from Uttoxeter.
If he was 10 months old at the time of the census you expect an earlier registration but they might have guessed how old he was.

Harold Henry appears to be the son of James & Sarah Ainsworth living just outside Ashborne in 1911.

HI
Using the 1911 Census Index I found the Following
                                                                  District       County
MOSES HEAPY born 1839  age 72  LEEK     Staffordshire
HAROLD AINSWORTH born 1901  age 10  LEEK     Staffordshire

It could be that they were still together but you will have to pay to find out.

         Regards

In 1911 Moses is with wife Elizabeth but no Harold.
Harold aged 10 is Harold Edward (see above) at home with parents John & Amelia.
