Hi Althea,
I believe it was known as the Rosebank Road & Orchard St Cemetery Avondale
cheers janette

Thank you Janette. I've added it to the master list of NZ cemeteries with online search at http://www.clanfraser.org.nz/genealogy/cemeterylinks.html

Hi all,
I've just photographed and indexed the cemetery for www.gravestonephotos.com
The index includes all people named on the headstone, and is searchable by surname.
It should be live on the site in a couple of weeks time.
I have also 'done' St Ninians in Avondale, Oratia Anglican and Combined churches, Tapu Cemetery, and a large chunk of Waikumete (that's a work in progress though!)
Next on my agenda is St Lukes Mt Albert.
The site is always looking for volunteers, though it is horribly addictive...
Caroline.

Hi Althea, thanks for letting me know - it's the old pay-it-on thing that works so well in genealogy!
I'm not originally from New Zealand, and have no ancestors here, so rely on the kindness of strangers overseas to help me, and in return I do things like the graveyard indexing.
I'm glad you've found it useful, and you'll note I have linked your blog on the Tapu page for www.gravestonephotos.com
I spent ages looking up all the people buried at Tapu, but there's a limit to how much of it they can fit in.
I would like to add the link to your blog as well, if you don't mind?
Cheers,
Caroline.
