I have the following baptism from FreeREG and I'm looking for any more information on this family, ideally a marriage prior to Hugh Dovey's baptism.

Hugh Dovey baptised 31 May 1762 Gresford parish church, Denbighshire.
Father: Samuel Dovey
Abode: Burton

OK, found the marriage 3 May 1759 Gresford. Samuel Dovey of Mold to Elizabeth Usher of Gresford.

Also found Elizabeth Usher's baptism 22 Aug 1738 & the baptisms of her siblings.

Elizabeth's father is Hugh Usher, possible marriage on LDS 1735 Waverton Cheshire.

Thankyou for those links, indeed they appear to be related along a direct line and confirms the links between the baptisms, marriages & deaths I've been finding today.

Somehow I missed this one also from Gresford. He mentions his neice Elizabeth Dovey.  ;D ;D ;D

Yes, thankyou. Still following up all the leads & keep finding more potential information.

Looks like I'll have to make a trip to Wales, must be all of a year since I've been.
