I would be so pleased if someone could help me find Louis Mcguire. He was born in 1869 in East Ham district, his father was Thomas Mcguire and his mother was Mary Mcguire (Nee Lynch). I have him showing living with his parents on the 1881 and 1891 census's, but have been having difficulties finding him on the 1871 census, or showing up anywhere after 1891. I cannot find his death or marriage anywhere. So any help would be much appreciated.

If you have alreay found someone in the census, it helps if you can give the census reference (Piece/Folio/Page) so that we know we are looking for the right person :)

The family is enumerated as "Maguire" rather than "Mcguire" in 1881: RG11/1724/30/40.

Could he be the Susan Clary aged 1 (rather than 1 month) in the census with the family. I know Susan is entered as a female but it may all be a misunderstanding.
I can't see a birth for Susan - only Louis Philip Clary (not McGuire) as you state.
The Clarys though are boarders in 1871 :-\

I wonder whether the three Clary children boarding with the Maguires in 1871 belong to the next-door Clary family?

Marriage 1863 is Thomas Clarey and Mary Lynch.
However 1861 has Thomas Maguire
1859- Michael Clary and Margaret Lynch possible marriage
Maybe all will be revealed later ;)

And your boy's name is spelt Luois (on the original) - no wonder I couldn't find him!

Beg your pardon - there is a Thomas Maguire and a Thomas Clary around so this may well be wrong.
I suppose it just demonstrates that all information should be posted ::)

I do :D
P.S. I am unilaterally going to change his name in the title to "Louis" as the poor boy may become very confused if he remains "Louise" much longer!

I must say a big thank you to all who have contributed to this post, Yes as you can see I have questioned the whereabouts of Louis for a long time, unfortuanetly,I myself was getting nowhere. Anyway again thank you for everyone for taking an interest. If I do come accross anything in the future re Louis, I will let you all know.

That would be lovely but next time please post what you already know and what has already been found so that we don't spend all that time searching to tell you nothing new.
