Is anyone able to visit the cemetery for me and get a photograph of the grave of some of my relatives please?
They are:
Joseph Daglish and Florence Daglish
Saltwell Cemetery Section B - Grave No 1118.
And also Section B Grave 1643 - there is no gravestone on this plot but it belongs to my Gt x 2 Grandparents Mary Ann and William Small and I am just curious to see what the plots looks like or whats around it. I suspect overgrown grass.
Is there anyone out there who may be able to help me out please?

Hello NellyB
I have found the two graves you are interested in but the passage of time has taken it's toll on Joseph's grave, the headstone and kerbs have all moved.
The inscription reads "Sacred To The Memory Of A Dear Husband And Father, Joseph Daglish, Died 3rd May 1943, Aged 49. Also Florence, Dear Wife Of The Above, Died 19th May 1978 aged 83."
Plot 1643 is a well maintained grassed area as is all of Saltwell Cemetery.
If I the magic works there should be three photos showing Plot 1643 below the black headstone and two of Plot 1118.
I trust this is helpful.
Yours Ron.

Ron, thank you so much!! However, I can only see one photo of the unmarked plot and none of Joseph's. Might you be able to post again...or mail me? Once again, thanks for taking the time!

Sorry, still learning, silver surfer, trying a new spell.

That's fabulous, thank you again. Such a shame the grave has been neglected.

There's a photo on the war graves photo project site, google for "sanson saltwell cemetery twgpp"
It's low resolution, I could try to locate the grave and take another photo when I'm through that way if you like

Hi Pete - here we go - hopefully the attachment will work, if not we can do it via email. The maximum file size allowed on this site is pretty dismal but if you would like a better version we can sort it via email.
