Hi :)
The only Benjamin Blocksidge I can find is in 1851 cenus but his wife is Sarah.
He was born in Wenlock Shrops, a coal miner.

Hi
There used to be a building along court street madeley that had Blocksidge sign writing on it, the next time i am down there i will look to see if its still there.
Thomas Blocksidge were painters and decorators and moved to madeley in about 1843 from coalport Thomas had a son also called Thomas who was believed to have been a designer at the coalport china works. Blocksidge were said to have been one of the oldest family run business in madeley later in the 1800s they had some family that emigrated to america. if this looks like your family you will get more info from the madeley history group jubilee house madeley.
