Martha Coles, aged 24, a Shoe Closer aged 24 and daughter of Thomas Coles, a shoemaker, married Henry Bonham, a 29 year old coal dealer, son of John Bonham also a coal dealer, at Northampton Register Office on 21 October 1846. I have traced the couple from there in census records which consistently point to Martha's birth c1822 in Wellingborough. There were 2 Thomas Coles born in Wellingborough in 1793 who might be Martha's father - but I cannot find any birth/baptism record for her in Wellingborough which might confirm a link to either of them (or indeed to anyone else!).
Has anybody come across Martha in Wellingborough c 1822?
Thank you!

Hello
No luck with birth of Martha but there are two people with an interest in a Martha Coles born 1822/1823 in Wellingborough namely Margaret and Emma are you connected to either of them, worth contacting them anyway.

I think I need some lessons about posting replies.......
I am very grateful to everyone for their rapid replies. I now have some more names to investigate including deciding which Thomas and Mary were the parents of Martha. There do not seem to be any Richards in subsequent generations so I think I will concentrate on Thomas son of William. Thank you again
