:D This gent is shown as living with parents Joseph & Hannah at Prestwich Lancashire in the 1841 English census. At that stage he was unmarried. Suspect he went to America, married and had a family, becoming a farmer. Got this hint from a census. Need firm leads to descendants. Any help appreciated.Noeline L

Hi Noeline L,
The first record that comes up in US census is for a B Radcliffe born 1814 England but unfortunately named Benjamin Radcliffe. Cannot see anything else to match ours. Sorry.

Sandra - Thanks for trying. I did get something some time ago, but have lost it.
The timeframe was about 1869 from memory. Noeline L

Perhaps this was the thread you refer to but someone has now submitted an alteration to that record and names him Benjamin Radcliffe born England and living in Iowa. The 1880 Census also shows his name as Benjamin.

Hi Sandra, I'd forgotten what had transpired on this earlier posting. Looks as though I,m back to square 1 regarding Bernard. Good news however is that I have discovered full set of descendants of Clement born 1824 - in Sydney and Melbourne Australia. He evidentaly landed there around 184 :)9.
Many thanks for your help. Noeline L
