Hello everyone and happy new year.
I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place but I'm hoping for some help in transcribing the name in the attached image. All educated guesses welcome.

If it's a man's Christian name my guess is Archibald but perhaps you could give us some more clues.

Sorry I forgot to mention it was a man's Christian name. I don't have many clues to give, I came across this name on a document relating to an ancestor but there was a bit of a debate over what it was. I don't want to say anything else at the moment as I don't want to influence how other people see it.
