Hi all,

Wishing everyone a happy new year  ;D

i am looking for any leads on Hogg's or Brown's of Yester.  William Hogg and Susannah Brown married in Yester on 21 July 1785. OPR states William Hogg was from St Georges Hanover Square and Susannah was from Yester. They then had a daughter Susan Brown Hogg (OPR in name of Shusan Brown Hogg which took some finding... :D) in Musselburgh 15 Aug 1801 which is quite some time after their marriage.  William Hogg's occupation suggested he was a merchant so they may well have gone to London in between.

Any info much appreciated.

Birth 21 August 1786

JOHN PETER Hogg, 12 March 1792, same Church/Parents, Birth 08 March 1792

Have you looked at FreeREG?
William Hogg and Susan Browns Marriage is on there.
