Title: Grace Horsley Darling

So my name is Kristy Anderson, I live all the way over in New Zealand, my family migrated here on the Southern Cross from New castle upon Tyne, Wallsend. I am a descendant of the famous Grace Horsley Darling, Daughter of William Darling the light house keeper. I know this much, My Grandmother's Maiden name was Darling, Shelia Darling, her sister, Doreen Darling, their father was Peter Darling, a hairdresser during the war. I can't quite remember my great, great grandfathers name. As Grace sadly died without having any children, I would love to know which one of her brothers I am related to? I am assuming it is a brother as the Darling name was carried on! If any one else is related or could shed some light It would greatly be appreciated!

i kristy - i am related to grace Darling through her brother Robert and then a female line - another grace Darling.

you will need to work backwards from what you do know (please dont give details of anyone living) do you have your great grandfather peters dates/birthplace?

there is a peter Darling = Margaret huntley June 1928 newcastle

daughters Doreen june 1929 N/C  and Sheila june 1934 N/C

is this the right family?

Yes this is the right family! my great grandad Peter was born 18th of November 1905, His birthplace was Byker, New Castle upon Tyne.

Yeah thanks I know all about my great grandad, and all his siblings. I'm just trying to place him in the family tree as to how he is related to Grace Darling as my grandmother and her sister were the last to carry the darling family name before they married.
