Title: BRASSINGTON/LOACH
Post by: Mackiwi on Sunday 18 December 11 21:34 GMT (UK)
I am hoping to contact descendants of Albert Cyril Loach who married Violet Ellen Brassington at Addington in 1924.

Hello...

If the information in this post (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,475012.msg3346237.html#msg3346237) is correct then their son is listed on the Ryerson Index (http://www.ryersonindex.org).

You could try emailing the Brisbane Library "Ask a Librarian" (http://www.questionpoint.org/crs/servlet/org.oclc.admin.BuildForm?&institution=13100&type=1&language=1) service to see if they'll email you a copy of his death notice. May mention his children, if there are any.

Regards
Beg

Aaaah emails sorted. Still trying to sort through that massive posting.

The Christchurch connection looks promising, here is a little background on my query.

Albert Cyril Loach married Violet Ellen Brassington, the daughter of
Arthur Brassington and Frances Mary Woodley Perrin the daughter of
Elizabeth Braken-Vincent and James Perrin
this is where I believe there is a connection I have

John W Perrin as my gt gt grandfather son of William Perrin & Frances Woodley
I believe John W & James are most likely brothers.
From electoral rolls I can see they both lived and had property in the same areas in Christchurch. James arrived in 1855 and John in 1860 from Marldon, Devonshire, England.

I  am hoping to see if anyone else is following this line back, so we can exchange information.

I'm not descended from Albert Cyril Loach, but am related to the Vincent family and connected to him through his wife, Violet Ellen Brassington. Somewhere, I have a copy of a family tree done by Albert Cyril Loach and given to a family member. I entered some of it on Ancestry. He apparently had five children, (*). I'll have a hunt for the family tree he did - it was pretty accurate for the most part - if you want it, I could e-mail it to you.
I was born in New Zealand but have lived in Alaska for many years

Hi, I have just noticed this thread. I have Albert Cyril Loach in my family tree, he married Violet Ellen Brassington and their child (I only know of one) was Corwyn Maxwell Loach born 1924 died 16-6-2001, I am interested in finding out more details of Corwyn's (known as Max) ancestors, if you could help that would be great.

Cyril Loach was my grandfather. He and Nellie had 5 children - 4 are still alive. One lives in Australia, the other 3 live in NZ. The one mentioned here was the eldest and only son. Happy for you to PM me if you want to know more - had enough trouble registering with the site - can't face working out how to use the PM.

Hello Tommy,

Am trying to build up a family tree for the various New Zealand LOACH families, and would welcome any help you can give.
