Title: Flora(Florence) Eliza Saunders

I am trying to find the where abouts of this lady who is my GGAunt. She is on census returns for 1881,91 and 1911 when she is married, but I cannot find her in 1901. I was wondering if she could be overseas as this is the time of the Boer War and she had at least 2 brothers fighting over there. Could she have been a nurse and if so, how could I find this out?

Hi Dianne, is Saunders her maiden or married name? And when/where was she born?

Is she the one b Maidstone c 1878?

At the time that I am interested, she is still Saunders. She married in 1906 and became Smoker. She was born in Maidstone as were all 10 siblings.

sorry for this tardy reply but I have just joined the forum. I do not have a record of Flora on the nurses medal rolls for the Boer War.

Many thanks. Not to worry. Where she went between 1891 and 1911 will forever be a mystery. Oh, that we could all have the resources of WDYTYA!!
