I have a picture taken in a hotel in British Columbia, Canada of an immigration poster made by Canadian Pacific encouraging the British people to "farm your own land in Canada" I would love to make a scrapbook page using this photo and some of my Grandparents photos who did exactly that.
My problem is that there are alot of hotel light reflections in it so I would like to get another copy of it. I have googled "Canadian Pacific posters". I have seen a lot of posters but not this one. I didn't attach it to this post because I wasn't sure about copyright. Does anyone have any ideas where I might find one or can I post it and have someone try to take out the reflections?

Hi,
If you are in Canada, see if your local library has any books on Canadian Pacific posters. I found one on Amazon.ca (you can see a preview of the book and read some reviews). Then I checked with the Toronto Public library and it is there... for free :) :). Perhaps your library has this book, or could order it through interlibrary loan??

There are many other books written about the Canadian Pacific railroad. Perhaps some of them are illustrated with posters. Again, check your library.
Also, the Canadian Pacific Archives might be a place to look. Maybe they could give you some more information about your poster.

The Library and Archives of Canada might also be able to help

Perhaps some of the Provincial Archives too.
A bit of information here about CP posters:

As you can see from the last paragraph in this article, CP made over 2500 poster designs! Wow.

Hi again,
I think you would get more replies if this was moved to the main common room section - not the lighter side. It might fare even better on the Canadian board. Perhaps you could ask a moderator for advice on the best place to put this query. :)

There is a poster at this site which has very similar wording ... have you seen it?
