Hi, I would like to try and find when an ancestor left England (London)for America. Going on the marriage and birth of first son William, William b1810 and his wife Ann nee GREEN. Left for the USA sometime in the above period. They had a daughter Mary Ann in Tennessee in 1839 stayed for several more years and then returned to London. They are not shown on the 1841 Census England but are on the 1851 back in London.
I would like to know who went, was it just the parents, or did they take William b1835 and a younger brother Charles b1836-7.
Any help appreciated. ;D
I have posted several years ago on the US board with no result. :'(

Neil,
Have you ever considered doing a male DNA sample to see what it might tell about any connections of your earliest ancestor to other Todd families in England?
