Title: Sarah Clark/James Young
Post by: JaneyJ on Monday 12 December 11 19:43 GMT (UK)
Hi All,

Does any one have any information on a SARAH CLARK b abt 1840 in Durham or Northumberland (census info varies), died 1887 in Coatbridge, Scotland.

Sarah was my G/G Grandmother, her parent where JOHN CLARK and ANN FORREST, I have no information on these two, only their names from Sarah's marriage and death cert's.

Sarah's 1st husband was JAMES YOUNG, son of JOHN YOUNG and MARTHA KNOWLES.
James and Sarah married in 1856 in Durham and had 5 children that I am aware of, Rebecca  b: 1857 in Durham, Mary Ann b: 1859, John b: 1861 (my G/Grandfather), William b: 1869 and Sarah b: 1874, all born in Scotland.

Sarah's 2nd husband was JAMES COX, they married in 1883 in Darlington, they had 2 children, James 1879 and George in 1882 both born in Darlington and before Sarah's second marriage to their father. Sarah was living with James Cox in the 1881 census in Darlington, her 1st husband James Young was living in Scotland and died that year.
Just to make things even more confusing James Cox went on to marry another Sarah, when Sarah Clark died, that caused some headaches when I was searching for them in the 1891 census  :P

What I am really interested in is the parents and siblings of Sarah Clark but I seem to be drawing a blank, any help would be most welcome.

Jane.
