Hi,
Kennaway is now a "ghost town" in Haliburton, Ontario. It was abandoned in the 1930s.

Have you read the book The Regiment, by Farley Mowat? He is a famous Canadian author and he was in the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment in WW2. This book is the story of that Regiment.

Unfortunately, Henry's birth record is too recent to be public information - so we can't find parents' names that way.
Looking at the 1911 census, there are some possibilities. The automatedgenealogy site doesn't have any Baumhauers, but there are variations - like Boomhower, Boomhauer, etc. They may have been entered as one of these variants...
There is a family of Boomhowrs and a family of Boomhours in Cardiff, Victoria-Haliburton County. This isn't far from Kennaway, so perhaps these are yours??

If these aren't yours, there are lots of Boomhowers in Kennebec, Frontenac County. Also Faraday, Hastings County. As far as numbers go - these seem to be the biggest groups. You can search for Baumhauer/Boomhower etc and variants at the automatedgenealogy site for free -

I think the baumhauer/Boomhower/boomhowr had a link with the Twa? family
-
Hi,
If that is the case, then you might want to look in Hastings County. That is where most of the Twas are on the 1911 census. (see the automatedgenealogy site, and the site posted by vbain).
Faraday (Boomhower) and Monteagle (Twa) are in the northern half of Hastings county - and not too far east of Kennaway.
Some other people interested in Boomhowers and Twas in Hastings:

The 1921 Canada census is due to be released in 2013. Bit of a wait but not too long now. It will perhaps be of help when the time comes.
