Hi
I am looking for your help if possible, John Morris & Margaret Cox marriage, and any other information.
I do know they had two children listed in Dublin, Teresa Morris Oct 3rd 1866 Dublin, & also Alice Elizabeth Morris, Feb 7th 1864 Dublin.
They must of moved to England between 1866 -1870 as their son John W Morris was born in 1870 Leicester..
Could anybody help me further
Kind regards
Darryl

Civil registration of Catholic marriages started in 1864 (from 1845 for other marriages) so the information available will depend on their religion. You can look for the marriage yourself on the newly released index to Irish civil registrations:
http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=2;t=searchable;c=1408347
You need to search for a marriage of a John Morris and then of a Margaret Cox where the date, registration district and volume and page number match and then you can order the certificate from GRO:
www.groireland.ie/apply_for_a_cert.htm
If they were married in a Catholic ceremony then you will need to search for church records (if they exist) for their marriage but such records are not indexed online.

Hi
I am looking for John Morris & Mary Ann Cox marriage between 1850-1870. possibly Dublin South but really do not know, I have managed to find them in the 1871 census of Leicestershire, Mary birth states Kingstown in the 1881 census for Leicestershire..
Mary was also known as Margaret....

your dates are important - also the denomination of your Morris and Cox families, and where in Dublin City or County they lived.. i.e. the parish. Full civil registration of marriages started in 1864, but non-Catholic marriages were registered from 1845.
An index to Civil records can be found on the FamilySearch website, and many parish records for the city area (but not the county) are available on www.irishgenealogy.ie
see : Introduction to Irish Records (http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,442233.0.html)
Kingstown, now named Dún Laoghaire, is in South County Dublin, and in the registration district of Rathdown.
