Title: G-Grandfather or G-G-Grandfather
Post by: ritchiewilk on Tuesday 06 December 11 11:59 GMT (UK)
Great-Grandfather died in 1931, G-G-Grandfather died in 1882.  Which one is in this photograph?

I don't think it was common for people to smile in photographs in the 1880s, so I'd say it was your great grandfather.

Agree with Hibee,it's your great grandfather.Clothing, pose and informality of the photo all point to it.
