The is no central register for BMD events in Canada as it is a provincial jurisdiction. If I found the right family on the passenger lists (Richard emigrated a few months before Jean and the children) then it appears they settled in Hamilton, Ontario. Ontario privacy laws restrict birth records so births from less than 100 years ago are protected.
The Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid (http://ocfa.islandnet.com/) has burials for a Richard and Jean I. Ruttle at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Binbrook Twp, Wentworth County (reference HM-152-1). You could contact the Hamilton Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society (http://www.ogs.on.ca/hamilton/) or the cemetery (http://chapelhillcemetery.ca/) to try to obtain their dates of death. The OGS does charge for the look-up but it's a small amount.
The Hamilton Public Library may be able to help with finding an obituary or other BMD announcements (http://www.myhamilton.ca/public-library).

Hi bob,
The cemetery administration may have info on other family members as well. This would be info on those involved with Jean and Richard's burials as well as possibly other family members. Hope this helps,

www.canada411.ca
is an online telephone directory and there are not that many Ruttle's listed for Canada and there is one in Hamilton.
The mailing addresses are usually given as well as the telephone number. You could try contacting some possibles by snail mail (postal service).
