Hi all
I am doing a little research for a friend and was wondering if someone could look up the 1901 &1911 census for the following 2 people for me
Elma/Alma ROBINSON born 1883 Boroughbridge/Great Ouseburn Yorkshire her parents I believe were Thomas & Jane
Henry Peckett HANSON born 1881 Yeadon/Leeds
his parents Joseph & Hannah
Elma and Henry married in 1902 Knaresborough and I think they had children Dorothy, Elma Mary, Doris and William and by 1911 believe they may have been living around Bradford.
thanks JJ

hi we cant do 1911 searches for you, but i have found elam robinson in 1901. she is working as a servant in the turnbull household.
elma robinson born 1883 borobridge yorkshire
servant (cant make out what she does within the household, hopefully someone else will be able to help here)
henry is a little harder, there arwe a few that may be him in 1901.
this to me is the most likely
henry hanson 1882 leeds
boarder
colliery labourer
living in ibstock leistershire
hopefully some else can be a bit more specific

Hello,
1901 - Elma is a servant 18 yrs in Harrogate
1901 - a possible Henry is a boarder in Ibstock Leicestershire
Not much help - sorry. :(
1911 look ups are not allowed. There is a free index to view and then you can download the image for a fee.

hi just looked up a birth= harold hanson born 1915 bradford, mothers maiden name robinson
christine
-
hi me again, i believe that henrys mothers maiden name was chaffer born 1840 and died in 1915
hope this is the type of info you are looking for
christine

Thanks Christine
But I don't think the Harold belongs as I beleive the family came to Australia in 1913 ..........Yes I do beleive his mothers name was Chaffer but the friend I am helping was wanting information on Henry P Hanson imparticular, as I think she has the rest....... As the family story goes he up and left his wife and young child and absconded to Australia after some trouble with the law (apparently he worked at a pub in Bradford somewhere and ran off with all the takings around 1903), but I have located the whole family here downunder......ancestors onboard website has Elma and the children leaving for Australia in 1913(I still have to find when Henry left) that's where I thought the 1911 census would come in handy (to see if they were altogether then) but I wasn't aware of the exclusive rights of it (I should have read the rules first) :-[
