Title: Blachall and Scott
Post by: Rufous Treecreeper on Monday 28 November 11 01:39 GMT (UK)
Hi,

I have a photocopy of family history information written for my grandmother and in part it says;

'Grandfather Watson was an Engineer at Blachall and Scotts Comb Warehouse in Edinburgh'

I have tried googling without any luck.  Can anyone help with advice on how to find out about this company, please?

Thanks, Mo

Hi Mo,

I think they were Blackhall and Scott, comb manufacturers - try this link

 :D Thank you, Linda, that's great.  They are in the same street as Thomas Watson and his family were in the 1841 census   :)

Hi there, I realise I am a bit late to this conversation but I also had an ancestor called Thomas Watson who was married to Charlotte and lived in that area of Edinburgh you mentioned
