Hi,
The following is all I have on this lady.
Anastasia Doyle was born about 1915/16/17 in Solsborough, Enniscorthy
She was 1 of approx 6 children born to Daniel Doyle 1874-1948 and Catherine (Kate) Neill 1887-1969 Yorkville cottage, Solsborough. Both parents died in Enniscorthy.
The only other address I have is that of her brother Thomas when he notified the death of his father, 38 Irish St, Enniscorthy.
2 of her sisters settled in England, 1 in Cheshire and the other in Liverpool.
The only time anyone in the family can remember her is when she made a short visit to Liverpool in the '50's she was always well dressed with immaculate hair and makeup.
And thats it, she seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
I do have about 3 possible birth registrations but nothing else and 1 death in Liverpool in 1981.
She has fascinated the family for many years and try as they might nobody has been able to find her. Rumour has it that she never married, or she wasn't when she visited Liverpool.
Can anyone shine a light on her for me.
Many thanks
Ann

Probably the best way to find out a little more would be to try those possible birth certs to see if one on them matches the parents names.
If Anastasia married then there should be a civil record, but finding it would require checking through possible marriage certs in the are to see if one fits. The online BMD Index includes details for Southern Ireland up to 1958

Is this your Daniel and Kate on the 1911 census ?
Doyle household (http://census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Wexford/Enniscorthy_Rural/Drumgold/679341/)
Townland is Drumgold, which is located just under 3km east of Enniscorthy town, and the Registration District of Enniscorthy. Solsborough is about 4km north of Enniscorthy town.

There is a building marked 'York Ville' (doesn't say if it's the house or a cottage) on the historic OSI maps just south of Solsborough and in the townland of Ballynabarny

Ann,
have you have any more luck finding Anastasia?
Johnny

Hi Johnny,
Unfortunately not. Cousin Sheelagh seems to think that she didn't marry.and she only remembers 1 or 2 visits from her in the '50's.
There is however a death for an Anastasia, b 1915, in 1981 in Liverpool but without getting the death cert there's no way of finding out.
If you hear anything, let me know.
Regards,
Ann.
