Title: Northumberland County Jail Morpeth
Post by: hedgehog55 on Wednesday 23 November 11 13:34 GMT (UK)
Hello
Has anyone a picture of the building that was the jail at Morpeth?  As well as local / family history I write tunes and I've got one called 'The Rats of Morpeth Gaol'  - inspired by an advertisement in the Newcastle Courant, 14 Nov 1845 ' MORPETH GAOL.  PERSONS willing to undertake the CATCHING OF RATS at Morpeth Gaol may see the Premises and learn Conditions &c on application to the Porter at the Gate of the Gaol. (capitals as in original)

I've got an amateur site with my tunes on it and I'd like a copyright free picture to go with the tune.
