Anyone know anything about a Bohmwetsh family in Württemberg, Germany? I have a great grandfather named Ludwig Bohmwetsch with a passenger record listing him as being from Zwinghausen, Württemberg (Baden-Württemberg), Germany. The surname spelling appears to vary quite a bit.
Ludwig came to the US in 1891 through New York and settled in the Norristown/Conshohocken, PA area, marrying an Ella Connor in 1894. I've got census and immigration records for him, but that's it. I have no idea who his parents were.

german phonebook has 14 Bohmwetsch:
http://www1.dastelefonbuch.de/
the place is possible 71737 Zwingelhausen belonging to Kirchberg An der Murr. this would fit with the phonebook-results like 71364 Winnenden, 71522 Backnang, 71737 Kirchberg, 71554 Weissach im Tal, 71546 Aspach, 73497 Tannhausen:
http://maps.google.at/maps?hl=de&q=Zwingelhausen,+Kirchberg+an+der+Murr,+Deutschland&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x4799cb7278b077f7:0xa1ffd3f303bc8c0,Zwingelhausen,+Kirchberg+an+der+Murr,+Deutschland&gl=at&ei=ZDfJTqvAM-f74QTSyZwr&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CB4Q8gEwAA
Kirchberg an der Murr:

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirchberg_an_der_Murr
so some or all of the phonebook-results possible can be relatives....

Thank you. Zwingelhausen is closer than my guesses. Are there any German genie sites out there?
