Title: Bishenden's in Boughton Monchelsea
Post by: willow007 on Friday 18 November 11 18:46 GMT (UK)
Can any one please help me before I go mad. I have searched these names as they appear on the graves and they seem to be married to the wrong people

As it appears:
Samual Bishenden b 1808  d1881  (i call him Samual 1)
         wife
Mary ann Bishenden b 1810  d 1891 ( i call her mary 1)

behind this grave is then:
Samuel Bishenden  b 1774  d 1856  (i call him samual 2)
           wife
Mary ann Bishenden  b 1813  d 1882 ( icall her mary 2)

i have research them and all records show that infact Samual 1 was married to mary 2,
and Samual 2 was married to mary 1. Is it possible that they mixed up graves, but dont think so as per death dates or one deviored and married the other on e when older, Only sam 1 and mary 2 had kids between them and the other sam 2 and mary 1 had none.

I really cant get my head round this one

Is Samuel 2 the father of Samuel 1?

Did Samuel 2 possibly re-marry somebody called Mary Ann

thanks for the links, i can now trace the wifes familys,

there does not seem to be a link yet between sam 1 and sam 2 except they lived in the same street and buried in graves next door to each other, he may have been an uncle but having difficulty getting back beyond 1841 census as i can only afford to use my librarys search pages and not jion Genes Reunited etc as too expensive.

i will keep digging though as i wont
let it get the better of me !! x
