Title: Lincoln Workhouse
Post by: FTFHA on Sunday 13 November 11 15:01 GMT (UK)
Hi,

I have recently discovered a Charlotte Bingley who died in October 1840 in the Lincoln Workhouse after choking on a piece of food. I'm not certain it is her as I don't know her age from the document I have.

I have found that there are 1839-1843 admissions papers as well as a burial register for the workhouse grounds. I would be grateful if anyone who has access to these records or indexes could provide any more information.

I believe Charlotte be my 5 x Gt Grandmother - her husband died 16 years earlier also in Lincoln whilst driving a Coach Box !

Regards,

FTFHA

Hi Victor,

Charlotte was born around 1786, so that would be too young I'm afraid.

Regards.
