Title: edward lynch - mary ann campbell
Post by: kevshe on Saturday 12 November 11 14:03 GMT (UK)
hi,
Can anybody find a marriage record for Edward Lynch and Mary Ann Campbell? The eldest child they had on the English census was born 1862. I cannot find a marriage for them in England. Since they were both born in Ireland according to the census then I am assuming they got married in Ireland about 1860-ish. Mary Ann Campbell was born between 1841 to 1843 according to several census and Edward Lynch 1832 on the one census i've found him on.

Thanks for reading

Hello,

I have the family (I think) in 1871 in Thornes - is that them?

If so - here they are in 1861 RG9  3424/ 7/ 7

they are boarding in Wakefield - Edward 28 yrs and Mary Ann 21 yrs both born Ireland.

(1871 has her born Wakefield)

Here is some information about researching in Ireland

hi,

on one census they are born in wakefield as you noticed but on all the later census Mary Ann is born Ireland and the children range from Huddersfield to Rochdale - it seems on that one census was inaccurate.

Thanks for reply and the links as well
