I have reliable information from a deceased Aunt that my paternal father was Arthur ?----? Willis born c. 1900 - ? area CORPORATION Rd.,, WEST HAM. Mother had sweet shop near train station?. Arthur ?----? Wiilis lived and worked In Laindon where I was born 1926. and may have returned to West Ham. My mother passed away 1980 without passing any details of my father that I might find useful.
I would be interested of any such WILLIS families who might have any such details that might be useful in my searches. Any information gratefully received.
Regards, John

For info only - He is not the birth in 1900 in West Ham as that child died in the same quarter
Arthur ? Willis
Does the question mark indicate that the christian name of Arthur is uncertain or do you mean he had a middle name as well

Hello, :) :)
Have to admit I spent quite a while looking at this last night, as I'm sure did many others. John, I hope you don't mind - but if I include other information requested and received, this might hopefully help you get to the bottom of it. Fingers crossed.
Any information of any family living in the area related to H.Willis or a M.Willis Builder and Shop Fitter both? residing at "Fair View" , New Century Road Laindon Essex. 1923 May be related to the Wilis family from West Ham and would be greatfully received.

Someone might be able to give you more information about the area or even remember the name.
